Our School Office

Our main school office is located over by the Key Stage 2 pupil entrance - you can access the office by walking through the Key Stage 2 gate. Here you will be able to speak to a member of office staff and ask any questions you have. If your child is unwell or needs picking up early you will collect them from here. It is important the office have all your contact details in the event of an emergency - please check phone numbers and addresses are always kept up to date.

KS1 Playground

The Key Stage One playground is the main area the children will use for lunchtimes and playtimes; the children love playing in this area which has astro-turf, a grassed area with play equipment and also a large concrete area for children to run around and play fun games! It is also the playground you will drop off and pick up the children from. Timings and pick up points will be confirmed in September and discussed with you when you come for your class visit.

EYFS Garden Area

We are very fortunate to have a large outdoor space for the Reception and Nursery children to use. This area is accessed daily and used for activities linked to curriculum and weekly learning. As part of the EYFS curriculum and our passion for child initiated learning, all the activities and resources in our outdoor area will be changed regularly to meet the children's needs and interests. We are also fortunate to have an outdoor canopy which means the children can access the outdoor area in all weathers!

Please ensure your child has a pair of wellies in school so they can use the messy play areas and also still go outside during the rain and snow. We also ask that your child has weather appropriate clothing all year round - warm coat, scarf, hat and gloves during the winter. Sun hats are needed for the warmer weather as well as sun cream. *This must be applied before school by the parents*.

Our Nursery

Welcome to our Nursery! We have a large indoor space that is full of exciting activities for the children to do and lots of different areas for them to access! All our indoor provision matches the current EYFS curriculum and activities and resources are designed to meet the needs of the children. Children attending Nursery in the morning session will enter and leave by the wooden fence- this is located on the same path as our school office. Children attending the afternoon session will enter by the wooden fence - this is located on the same path as our school office. Parents will collect their children from the KS1 playground at the end of the afternoon session. If you have any questions about our drop off and collection procedure, please speak to a member of staff.

Our Reception

Welcome to our Reception classes! We have a large indoor space that is full of exciting activities for the children to do and lots of different areas to access! All our indoor provision matches the current EYFS curriculum and activities and resources are designed to meet the needs of the children. The children complete Maths and Literacy tasks every day; these are play based and planned to allow the children to develop their speech, language and problem solving skills. As the year progresses the children will then complete some Maths and Literacy tasks at tables, in preparation for Year 1.

School Hall

This is our school hall - it is used for PE lessons, dinner times and assemblies.

The children will take part in weekly PE sessions so please ensure they have a full PE kit in school and follow our school PE expectations (please find in the school starters section).

The children will eat their lunch in this school hall too; we have a wide range of lunch options which change weekly - please check the lunch menu and discuss these options with your child. Alternatively you can provide your child with a home packed lunch. If there are any allergies or dietary requirements, please let us know immediately so we can provide the correct care and support for your child.

Assemblies take place daily and include singing, celebration and PSHE/RE lessons. Nursery children do not attend assembly at the beginning of the year, however as the year progresses they begin to join our celebration assembly. Reception attend assembly weekly and particularly enjoy taking part in singing!
