Welcome to the Resource Base for Hearing Impaired Children (RBHIC)
Teacher of Deaf in Charge: Ms Scrocca
Learning Assistants for RBHIC: Mrs Delaney, Mrs Alexander and Mrs Adams
This term the children will be learning both in their mainstream classes and in the resource base rooms where they receive specialist teaching. Every morning the children have their hearing aids or cochlear implants checked by a member of staff so they are ready to learn.
PE takes place in the children's mainstream classes so all children should have their Ghyllgrove PE kits in school ready to join in the lessons.
Homework is set by the mainstream teachers after discussion with resource base members of staff.
The Speech and Language Therapist comes in to school every Tuesday and the Sign Language Instructor every two weeks, to work with children and alongside the staff.
Please check your child's individual class pages for more information and if you have any questions then please talk to a member of staff from the RBHIC.
